BASIC YOGA POSES
When you are new to yoga, just taken your first class or just starting again after an injury, it is good to go back to the basics.
The basic yoga poses, the easiest ones, can also be hard ones depending on the situation that you find yourself in.
You do not have to be a gymnast to start yoga. You do not need to be flexible. The most important thing that you need to remember in life is to breath. Even that could be hard at times. So during yoga - we train our brain to remind and remember how the body functions. Think of yoga as the union of yourself to your body and breath is the connector.
When you get home from class, you remember some of the words or poses that are given but forget how to get into them.
This series is made escspecially with my students in mind. To help guide them when we have a holiday break or when they are not able to attend a class. To help them practice at home when they want a few moments to themselves.
“Think of yoga as the union of yourself to your body and breath is the connector”. - Tücsi
We will be adding one new basic pose each week to our basic yoga postures page (embedded link):
You can follow the steps or videos to practice at home.
Where the need might be to change the language from English to Dutch - You can change the language at the top of the webpage when using a computer.
We hope that you will find these poses easy and find the guidance helpful.
See you on the mat!
